Pennine Stone, the foremost manufacturer of architectural cast stone in the UK, have now implemented a real time Vehicle Tracking and Telematics Data Management System across their entire fleet.
The state of the art system enables the busy Transport Office at Pennine Stone to access and monitor live and historical data for each of their vehicles and drivers.
The commitment Pennine Stone has made to producing and delivering quality stone within the timescales demanded by national housebuilders and major construction companies is a critical part of what differentiates the business. The use of real time accurate data of a vehicle’s location plays a key part when assisting both drivers and customers on a daily basis and offers a more professional and consistent on-site customer experience.
Vehicle and driver performance reports provide clear, meaningful graphical information to the transport department in an instant at any time of the day. These Performance Reports offer an ABC rating system, helping the transport department gain a clear assessment of each of their vehicles and drivers driving performance, either individually or collectively.
Although their fleet already consists of fuel efficient vehicles, these driver reports cover each of the key parameters that are also vital in influencing a vehicle’s fuel economy, such as over revving, engine idling (when the engine is running without moving), harsh acceleration/braking/cornering, etc. The analytics received also improve their highly skilled drivers’ awareness and appreciation of the vehicle and help to ensure that each vehicle is driven as safely as possible.
Each week a friendly in-house competition is held to determine which driver has made the most fuel efficiency improvements, achieved by ensuring their vehicle spent the shortest time in idling mode, this week the award went to Simon.
TecCast is a Semi - Dry product which uses a combination of traditional materials and technologically innovative admixtures to produce stone which is without equal.
TecLite uses a fibre-reinforced mix to produce light weight products which look and behave exactly like traditional cast stone.
WetCast is a traditional wet mix material which is used to produce dense heavy duty, extremely robust products, ranging in size from small decorative items such as cills, heads and copings right up to large cornices, beams, columns and porticos.
