Pennine Stone are delighted to be sponsoring the Doncaster Rovers ‘Women at the Game’ initiative this coming Tuesday 17th April March, as the Rovers take on Bury F.C.!
The ‘Women at the Game’ concept has been created by Jacqui Forster, who has a history of working for supporter causes within football. The initiative is a nationwide effort to encourage women to attend a football match. Research has highlighted that many women don’t feel comfortable attending what is often perceived as a male orientated spectator sport. It aims to encourage women to experience perhaps their first taste of live football in a supportive environment.
Richard Walsh, Managing Director of Pennine Stone says, “we are thrilled to be championing this event, and once again I am delighted that we are flying the flag for women’s causes. Last year the Pennine Stone team were very involved in the ‘Women in Construction’ campaign, and we thoroughly support International Women’s Day initiatives. Additionally, the team are great advocates of the Women in Business networking events around Doncaster, and we are looking forward to supporting the ‘Women at the Game’ concept – let’s hope it is a great game and we’ll see you at the match on Tuesday!”
